"This song kicks major ass."

submission: {KgZ} Versatile
date: June 6, 2009

Let's start with the beginning... I loved where you were going with this, I got real excited when I started to hear the orchestra part in the background, but it just disappeared after about 2 seconds. Speaking of that part, it was too quiet for my liking... Anyway, as you progress, the awesome synth comes in. Then the song becomes extremely powerful energetic; which I liked. What shocked me was the piano part that came in. The disappointing loss of energy there was made up when the synth came back in. I really like the interesting array of instruments; especially the variety of drums. Also, speaking of the variety of instruments, it seems to get a little to muddy around certain parts due to too many of them playing at once. Extremely wonderful song, though. The originality and catchy beat of this song is just way too much to ignore. Kudos to you!

This is easily one the most epic loops I've ever listened to. Nice crisp drums and background ambiance. When the piano came in, that made it all the more better. Incredibly mystifying and powerful, yet short... If you could make a longer version, I'd be more then thrilled.

While this song displays a powerful bass which is not heard much in any other songs, it's kinda too loud for the other instruments. It seems like you can barely hear the snares and other drums you have going and at certain points the synthes are too consumed by the bass. Some of the notes in the song I didn't entirely like because they seemed a bit contradictory with how you had started the song. Overall, a nice try, but I would like to see you get better. So I don't look like a jerk not giving you any positive criticism, I'll throw in a five for you. :D

Yeah I didn't like the bass in this one much either. I kind of fought it all the way through then gave up... :/

Thanks for the review!

"Overly Impressive."

date: May 18, 2009

My praise goes towards the originality of this song, the vibe this song has, and how pleasant it sounds. Wonderful drums; although you use them a bit in your other songs. No worries though, your drums somehow fit in perfectly with the other elements in the song. The song has great aquatic effects, and they all intertwine with the DnB elements you used. This song is incredibly pleasant to the ears and is great to relax to. Kudos to you!

Well I thank you, TreadFox. Thank you for the praise of the originality. I am getting better with that. Although, Amen break is clearly becoming somewhat my staple in some most of my songs, and there is a new drum loop here. So, I was able to combine my own drums into the Amen Break, and also add the Think Break into the mix there as well.

Thank you for noticing the ocean there, mate. My entire song was based right around that ocean. So, I just tried to make everything work in time with the ocean wave sound effect. I'm glad it came out the way it did. Thank you for the in-depth review. I appreciate that. =]

Your music never fails to amaze me. Your creation has a great deal of emotion. If I were to just shut my eyes, I'd be able to imagine your story so well. You did an incredible job on this piece. The intro-which blew me completely away-was so perfectly created with the ambient sounds of crows. Then the beautiful piano and glitch drums come in. As the song progresses, it sends more chills down my back with more various glitches and sounds. I'm so impressed by this; there is no mistake to be found in this. This piece tells a great story, and I hope many more will continue to enjoy this like I did. Fantastic job sir.

I can see why this would be such a hard piece of music to put into a specific genre. There are so many mixed feelings in this song that bring up great vivid images in my head and tears to my eyes. Well, on to actually reviewed this piece of music. I love the various forms of glitch beats you used along with the piano. Your music-and this piece is absolutely no exception-has great variety that allows a listener to listen to your pieces over and over again without thinking the song they are listening to is repetitive. You, sir, have completely outdone yourself on this song.

Author's Response:

Wow, awesome review for me to read. I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you. Most of my music is pretty eclectic - it takes from many influences and ideas. I'm glad it can be such a powerful piece of music for you. That really makes me feel like i've done what i've set out to do - make someone feel something or think something - take them somewhere. I like to add variety. That is really the main reason that glitch music is such an appealing genre. I love to sit and decipher different rhythms and melodies and so i add that to my own music - its all in the little things that'll make you listen over and over. Again, thank you for the wonderful review. Take care for now - keep listening : D

You did a great job in creating this more ambient remix of the original. I love the assortment of instruments you use, they are not in any way repetitive. The fresh approach with the instruments just blows me away... I love the disk scratches and sampled vocals. The sampled vocals did get a little too unclear for me to hear near the middle or so, however. Great ambient, chilling, remix of the song. Well done!

A high energy and tense DnB song. Really epic drums are in this...I also REALLY like the cultural instruments that are used and such. I can't really say this needs a melody, because this piece is just too epic to even need one. This song basically is like you stated it was, something that could probably be similar to a soundtrack in modern kung-fu movies. My ears got a really epic treat out of this, so thank you for the wonderful piece of music!

So epic and catchy, this will entertain me for AT LEAST a week. I love the vocals here, although the Cthulu line was a little quiet... Your song may sound so annoying at first, but if you actually listen, the magical properties of this song will trap you into it's catchy beat. You'll laugh at AT LEAST one line in this song. So epic, I'm going to die. Oh, and narwhals are probably one of the reasons the polar bear species barely exists today and are one of the main causes for sexual organ related injuries! xD

Very interesting remix, I agree with others suggesting this as a darker remix. I was a bit worried with the intro, for some reason, I just didn't feel exactly comfortable with it...It's like something was missing to give it an extra punch. Otherwise, I just loved the Tetris madness, so thank you. =D
